"Dear Professor

I am glad to inform you that MASAUM Net (http://www.masaumnet.com ) is interested in new ideas for proposals for workshops to be run by MASAUM NET. Workshop(s) run by MASAUM NET are expected to recover their costs through registration fees, and possibly grant funding and sponsorships. Proposals are judged on the basis of scientific merit and timeliness of the meeting.

Proposals will be reviewed by MASAUM NET?s authorities.

For acceptted proposal , MASAUM NET provides full administrative support and service, takes financial responsibility and sets all fees. MASAUM NET workshop staff takes care of the site selection and basic facilities, and helps with putting together the scientific program and scheduling of activities.

The main goal of the workshop is to help department/university to flourish in research. The secondary purpose of the workshop(s) is to encourage the next generation of scientists. Student participation, where appropriate, should be encouraged in any workshop.

There are several additional points to keep in mind when planning your workshop:

1. After being held, all workshops must be documented. This includes writing a summary of the workshop, how many people attended, what was discussed, etc. In addition, we encourage that any presentation slides are archived on the MASAUM Net website. Ask your participants to provide digital copies of their slides for this purpose.

2. The success of a workshop should not be judged solely on the number of people who are sitting in the audience. The quality of the material presented and the discussions fostered are more important than a simple headcount.

3. A wide range of technology is available for integration into a workshop. When proposing a workshop, please request any support you will need (LCD projector, access to the internet, a database where presentations/data/models will be accessed in real time, etc.).

4. Be creative in organizing your workshop. If you have an idea for a type of workshop not suggested above, go for it! You will not be refused the opportunity to host another workshop at a future if your workshop does not work out the way you wanted because you tried a new idea.

In order to propose a workshop, you are requested to submit attached proposal form to masaumnet@gmail.com by December 31, 2009: Alll accepted papers will be published in journals of MASAUM Net. http://www.masaumnet.com/journals.html.
